Ever wonder how many germs are in your makeup?

Here's some tips on keeping clean:

Lipstick and Mascara  Take a tube of lipstick and dip it in alcohol for 15 to 30 seconds, then wipe away the top layer of the lipstick. Or leaving it overnight in the freezer will also kill bacteria and viruses. Leave a closed tube of mascara overnight in the freezer, thereby killing the germs.

Foundation and Eye Pencil  If you use a powder foundation, scrape off the top layer of the powder occasionally.  If you use a liquid foundation, scoop out the top layer.  Sharpen your eye pencil to a fresh point, making sure to remove the first layer.

Beauty and the balayage

So in the 80's perms were all the rage in the 90's it was haircolor and in the 2000's everyone who's hot had foils. Now it's 2014 and as styles change so must we techniques evolve too, open a fashion magazine and you're bombarded by celebrity's with balayage and melting tecniques. Why are so many professionals resistant to learn and accept new ideas? Balayage has been around since sex and the city with Carrie Bradshaw. Ombre=demarcation line and balayage= soft subtle grow out.

Ready for some summer color?

Great options like Vita Liberata and St. Tropez offer safe alternatives to the sun and look amazing! Personally I look tanner with Dark St tropez than I do with tanning in a bed for a month!

Hair color for spring - what's hot?

It's like we live in a world of really anything goes.
But what gets people to turn their heads and say "I love your hair?" and what do they love the cut? Color?
The answer is "the look" the way you present it all a great color and cut are useless if you leave the house with bedhead.  This spring pixies and bobs are hot with highlights. Not always blonde highlights either rich auburn, soft gold and cool browns keep it sexy and carefree for spring. I love loose soft curls for those keeping their length.
P.s. Ombres are so over!

Quick fix to winter lips!

De-winterize your precious pout this spring with a couple quick tips try a new mascara wand from a disposable pack from walgreen's works great apply a layer of sugar scrub my fav is "Bioelements Lip Scrub" massage it in gently and make small circles with your new mascara wand this helps scruff off dead cells and dry flakey skin. Do this for about 1 minute and rinse with warm water follow with your favorite lip product - Eos or something to lock in moisture, do this everyday for about a week and you'll be back to smooth, soft, kissable lips!

Egg salad hair?

This blog has professional hair facts not facts some chick found on google. Stuff like "mayonnaise and eggs blended together makes a great hair mask" just is'nt on this blog this blog is about doing it right, no messing around, no wasting your time, real results! I don't ever recommend products I haven't tested.
Just remember clean hair is sexy. If someone tells you to stop washing your hair and just rinse it with vinegar they're crazy. Not only will you become the ever hated stinky chick at work your hair will be blah. I understand the ph to this theory but when the reality sets in it just doesn't work.  If your looking for a mask to repair damage try "Lanza trauma treat" or "Redkens real control overnight treatment"

Trying to lose weight check this ♡

A 16-ounce bottle of regular soda is the sugar equivalent of 65 Jelly Bellys, or more than two whole packages of Peanut M&Ms. [Tweet this scary stat!] A 16-ounce resealable bottle should last you three days, not one meal.
